Our Lodge continues its longstanding commitment to charity, benevolence, and service to the community. In keeping with the principles of Freemasonry, we are pleased to record our recent donation of £100 to the SHEPPEY PULSE NETWORK, supporting their vital work in assisting individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.
The food bank has seen a significant rise in demand over recent months, with many local households facing financial hardship. Recognising this need, the Lodge agreed that a charitable contribution would provide meaningful and immediate assistance. This donation reflects our dedication to relieving distress and strengthening the wellbeing of our community.
Two of our Brethren W.Bro Henry Ryan (Charity Steward) and Bro. Steve Marchant visited Friendship House last Thursday to present the cheque to Niquie Trower and Tracy Edwards on behalf of Sheppey Pulse Network
The donation was warmly received, and they expressed sincere gratitude for the Lodge’s support. They emphasised that contributions such as ours directly help maintain essential services, including emergency food parcels, community outreach, and support programmes.
This act of charity strengthens the bond between the Lodge and the wider community, demonstrating that our principles are not confined to the Lodge room but actively lived through service.
The Lodge extends its appreciation to all Brethren who supported this initiative. Special thanks to Steve and Henry who coordinated, liaised with the food bank, and ensured the donation was delivered promptly and respectfully.
This donation stands as a testament to our Lodge’s commitment to charity and brotherly love. By supporting the local food bank, we uphold the Masonic duty to aid those in need and contribute positively to the welfare of our community. Further opportunities for charitable engagement will continue to be explored as part of our ongoing mission of service.
