Mixed Emotions

It was great to return from our Christmas break with our regular meeting held on Tuesday 3rd February 2026. It was a wonderful evening as always with many guests and visitors attending. The evening began on a sombre note as we paid our final respects to Bro Geoffrey Ralph Hodson PPAGDC who sadly passed away on Sunday 14th December 2025. Geoffrey held the office of Tyler for 15 years with great distinction until 2019. He was a lovely man and we are all blessed with happy memories of him. However, the evening was also a celebration of 50 years service to W. Bro Colin Corder PPAGDC. Our very own grand lodge officer W. Bro Graham Smith PSGD, PAsstProvGM gave us a short talk which took us through Colins life and friendship with him for 65 years. He then presented Colin with his 50 years service certificate. The same evening Bro. John Moore was presented with his Grand Lodge certificate by W. Bro Ron Ball PPGSwdB. A evening of mixed emotions indeed!
