What an absolutely fantastic evening at the United Masonic Club in Sheerness for the Adams Lodge Ladies Festival on Saturday 19th July.
On arrival there was a champagne reception and formal photos, we then made our way to the dining hall, which had been decorated to perfection, for a sumptuous five course meal including Farmhouse pate with melba toast, mango sorbet, asparagus and cream cheese stuffed chicken breast, summer desserts, cheese board and coffee and mints!
W. Bro Henry Ryan then proposed a lovely toast to our ladies, followed by the ladies song, sung by W. Bro Roy Stickles, which were responded to in a heart felt manner by the lady of of evening, Maxine.
The WM W. Bro Andy Carter and his wife, Maxine then took the dance floor for the first dance of the evening and were then joined by the brethren and their ladies as we danced and sang the night away with music from the excellent Mr Smooth.
During the interval we took the raffle for which there was an array of great prizes!
We then finished the evening with more dancing, singing and a final cheer for the WM and his wife.
W. Bro Andy Carter and his wife Maxine would like to offer their sincere thanks to everyone involved – “You have all made our evening very special and memorable. We cannot thank everyone enough for all their help, support, kindness and encouragement, not just for our wonderful evening, but for W. Bro Andy’s year in the chair too!”
All proceeds from the evening will be going to the Kent Air Ambulance.
