Festive Fun!

An excellent final regular meeting of the year was had yesterday evening followed by a white table event, which saw plenty of Brethren’s wives, other masons and friends including a future candidate. The regular meeting was a short meeting where a notice of motion to ballot for Mr Stephen Marchent was read out.

The dining event was attended by 65 people who enjoyed a delicious meal which included a minestrone soup to start, a succulent roast turkey with all the trimmings, Christmas pudding for desert with a cheese board and mince pies and Clementines to enjoy with the evenings entertainment.

The evenings entertainment started with a Christmas quiz hosted by our junior warden Bro.Aaron Janes which saw W.Bro Peter Pordage win a bottle of New Zealand white and guests of W.Bro Roy Stickles won a bottle of Red for having the blue pen. Entertainment continued with with a medley of songs by our very own Crooner and D.C W.Bro Roy Stickles . Two raffles were held, one for the UMC fund raising over £200 the prize being a bottle of Signature cognac by Remy Martin organised by our senior warden W.Bro Steve Charnock, the regular raffle raising over £350 for the provincial 2025 charity organised by our Charity Steward W.Bro Henry Ryan.

The evening concluded with all guests singing along to carols.
